A Perfect Car Accessory – Air Horn
I remember the day like it was yesterday even though was quite some time ago. I was driving down the street in a car that I loved and I felt that it was the hottest thing in town. I was reading a pretty hilarious text message that had just been sent to me via cell phone. While I was deep into what was reading on my cell phone I was not paying attention to the road and for that reason I did not realize that I was at the green light. It was obvious to everyone around me that I was not focused or paying attention to the light in front of me since I did not drive off, and someone who specifically noticed was a guy next to me in a huge truck. The driver decided to give me a helping hand and help me pay attention to the road and the green light in front of my car. Most people would yell something out the window, or honk their OEM horn, but instead this guy decided that he would blast the custom Train Horns that he had mounted on his truck.
I am not sure how many of you have ever had an experience with hearing a Train Horn but it can be a terrifying experience if you are not paying attention or did not expect it. IF at the time I was suffering from heart issues, I probably would not be here today to tell you this story since such a shock would have for sure caused a heart attack. When you have all of your attention focused on everything around you and you are not expecting to hear something that can easily bust to your eardrums, when it happens there are tons of emotions that go through your mind. It took almost a minute for me to gather myself and realize what just happened. Once I gathered my composure I looked around to see if anyone was watching, and fortunately I saw no one. By this time I was pretty upset and wanted to get revenge on that truck driver, but he was already long gone, and probably laughing at me.
What is the point and the moral of this story? First of all make sure you pay attention to the road instead of any electronic device when driving, whether it is a cell phone or your radio. The reason is that you never know what type of obstacles could be in front of you while you are not paying attention to the road. This can range from green lights, pedestrians, other cars, or Air Horns on huge trucks. Although this is an accessory that almost all cars do not have on them, there are occasions like the one mentioned above that can catch you off guard. You may think I am making this a bigger deal that it really is, but to be honest it was an experience in life that I will next forget.
