How to run and lose weight to achieve your weight loss Success

Most of us want to know how to run and lose weight; however, the health benefits of running is far greater than just losing weight! In fact I probably could write a book on  that subject.

Running is an exercise one can do alone, with friends, outdoors or indoors, virtually any time of day, and it tends to be something people either love or dread. Although a lot of people who start out thinking they dislike running end up enjoying it. This is because once you get started with running and understand the many benefits, it becomes something very enjoyable.

What is the best way to run and lose weight? We should begin with some quick tips on running.

Running Guidelines:

1) Always stretch before you go for a run. Focus mainly on your calf muscles and legs. That way, you will increase your flexibility and keep you from incurring muscle injuries or strains.

2. Begin every run at a reduced speed. You have to give your body some time to adjust to your new active routine. My suggestion is to go slow for at least two or three minutes, perhaps slightly longer if you are a novice.

3.  Once you have completed your warm up, increase your speed to a jogging speed. Keeping in mind that this is the speed that you will be dropping back to after your run. So make sure you can maintain it nicely without too much effort.

4. After you jog at this pace, increase to an even quicker, yet still controllable pace. It is at this speed that you will maximize your ability to burn fat. Anyone running on a treadmill might consider raising the incline at this pace, as it will optimize fat burning.

5.  Alternate your routine between a steady jogging and running. If you are just starting out running then aim to run for about 30 minutes, if you are a bit more experienced then you can aim for an hour.

Those are the basics for what is called High Intensity Interval Training. This style of training is what will give your body the best ability to burn fat while you are running.

What makes running a great way to lose weight?

The first and biggest health benefit is that you will burn a more calories, than walking or sitting on the couch. It has been proven to be one of the best cardiovascular exercises for burning calories.

Combine this style of running with a balanced diet, and I guarantee you that you will start to see and feel the pounds melt away!

Secondly, you are exercising your heart, hands, legs and your lungs. It means you will be able to take bigger and deeper breathes. When you can breath more deeply your lungs are able to draw in more oxygen for your body, which actually helps it to burn off fat.

Thirdly, it will lower your blood pressure, increase your body’s circulation and allow you to relax!
